KAY JACKSON was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky.  She has completed the bachelor of arts degree and a master's degree in education.  Over a period of 30 years, Jackson served as Director of Career Planning and Placement at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri.  In addition, she developed the "Ambassador Program" at the University and directed this elite group of students to serve at the pleasure of the president.

   Shortly before her retirement in 2004, Jackson pursued an interest in painting and participated in watercolor workshops directed by nationally known artists Robert and Sharon Long.  In her retirement she has adopted painting and photography as hobbies and regular leisure activities.  She has produced many works of art and has shown her work at numerous exhibitions.  Original Kay Jackson paintings and photographs are part of private collections in various regions of the country.  Through the years Jackson has continued to study with artists Sharon Long, Richard Wolfgang, Donna Burgess, Emily Frost, and Dave Bennett.

   Throughout her life Kay Jackson has had a deep interest in music and the arts.  She has been a member of several choirs and musical performance groups, and has served as a soloist on numerous occasions.   She is married to Dr. Larry Jackson, and they have one son who practices law in St. Louis and New York. Kay and Larry make their home in Bolivar, Missouri and in Destin, Florida.
